Nature of the platform and services
CediCash is intended to operate as a digital promotional platform through which users may discover, register for, participate in, and track prize-led campaigns, draws, raffles, or similar game-of-chance or promotion-related activities, subject to applicable law and approved campaign rules.
Some campaigns may be operated directly by CediCash, while others may be operated in partnership with sponsors, merchants, or brand partners. Each campaign will identify the relevant operator, sponsor, or participating partner where necessary.
Campaign-specific rules may address matters such as ticket price, group structure, purchase limits, prize structure, eligibility, draw date, claim timelines, verification requirements, charity mechanisms, and campaign duration.
Eligibility, age, and account requirements
- Participation is open only to persons legally permitted to participate in the applicable activity under the laws and regulations of Ghana.
- Unless a stricter campaign rule applies, participants must be at least 18 years old.
- CediCash may require valid government-issued identification, age evidence, identity verification, or KYC documentation before allowing participation, payout, or continued use.
- CediCash may refuse, suspend, restrict, or terminate participation where a person is underage, provides false information, fails verification, is prohibited by law, or is reasonably suspected of fraud or unlawful conduct.
- Persons involved in the administration, technical management, auditing, supervision, or regulatory oversight of a campaign may be excluded where required by law, regulation, conflict-of-interest policy, or fair-operation controls.
Registration, ticket purchase, and participation rules
Users may be required to register for an account, join a campaign, or register into a specific group before purchasing tickets or otherwise participating in a campaign.
Each ticket, entry, or participation unit will be treated as valid only if purchased or issued through an authorized CediCash channel, fully recorded in the official system, and confirmed in accordance with the applicable campaign rules.
General participation rules
- Ticket prices, entry methods, purchase limits, group structures, and capacity limits will be disclosed before payment or final confirmation.
- Participation in one campaign or group does not automatically constitute participation in another campaign or group unless the campaign rules say so expressly.
- CediCash may set maximum ticket quantities, spending ceilings, or other participation limits for risk, fairness, compliance, or operational reasons.
- Each valid ticket or entry will carry a unique identifier or equivalent official reference.
Payments, refunds, cancellations, and invalid entries
Payments for tickets or campaign participation may be made only through approved payment channels identified by CediCash. A ticket or entry is not valid unless the applicable payment has been successfully received and confirmed.
Refunds and cancellations
- Refunds will be governed by the applicable campaign rules, payment status, legal requirements, and platform policy.
- CediCash may void, reverse, or cancel a ticket or entry where payment fails, is reversed, is fraudulent, or is otherwise invalid.
- If a campaign is cancelled, materially delayed, or lawfully suspended, CediCash will communicate the outcome and any applicable refund or carry-forward treatment clearly.
- Refunds, where due, may be made only to the original payment source or another method permitted by law and internal controls.
Draws, winners, prizes, and claims
Where a campaign includes a draw or random-selection process, CediCash will conduct the draw according to the published campaign rules, applicable approvals, and internal controls designed to support fairness, integrity, traceability, and audit readiness.
Winner and prize principles
- Winning entries must be selected only from valid entries recorded in the official system.
- Winners may be subject to age verification, identity verification, eligibility review, payment review, fraud review, or additional supporting documentation before prize release.
- If a winner cannot be contacted, fails verification, is disqualified, or does not claim a prize within the applicable claim period, CediCash may apply the campaign rules for replacement, forfeiture, re-draw, or other permitted treatment.
- Prize descriptions, values, cash alternatives, taxes, charges, and payout timelines will be stated in the applicable campaign rules.
- Where a campaign includes a charity feature, the process for selecting or approving charitable beneficiaries will be disclosed and documented.
Prohibited conduct and enforcement rights
Users must not misuse the platform or interfere with the fair operation of any campaign. Prohibited conduct will include, at minimum:
- using false, misleading, or stolen identity details;
- attempting to manipulate, automate, hack, or unfairly influence ticketing, draws, or outcome systems;
- money laundering, payment abuse, collusion, or fraudulent claims;
- harassment, abuse, or unlawful conduct directed at staff, partners, or other users;
- reselling, transferring, or exploiting accounts, tickets, or prize claims in a way prohibited by campaign rules or law.
CediCash may suspend, restrict, void, or terminate access or participation where it reasonably believes a user has breached these Terms, campaign rules, or applicable law.
KYC, AML, compliance, and regulatory cooperation
CediCash may implement age checks, identity verification, transaction monitoring, anti-money-laundering procedures, source-of-funds checks, fraud reviews, and related controls as necessary to comply with law, permit conditions, or internal risk policy.
CediCash may delay, suspend, or refuse participation, payout, refund, or account access where further checks are reasonably required. CediCash may also cooperate with regulators, law-enforcement, courts, payment institutions, and authorized investigators where required or reasonably appropriate under law.
Where a regulatory or legal requirement conflicts with a term in this document, the legal or regulatory requirement will prevail and CediCash may amend or apply the affected provision accordingly.
Disclaimers, limitations, and suspension rights
CediCash will use reasonable care in operating the platform, but it cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free technical performance, or freedom from delays caused by third-party providers, infrastructure failures, payment disruptions, regulatory interventions, or force-majeure events.
To the extent permitted by law, CediCash will limit its liability for indirect, incidental, speculative, or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms will exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
CediCash may modify, suspend, postpone, or discontinue a campaign or service where required by law, compliance necessity, technical integrity, fraud risk, or operational safety, provided the business communicates material changes responsibly and handles user rights according to law and the applicable campaign rules.
Privacy, data use, and communications
CediCash processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, applicable law, and internal compliance procedures. By using the platform, the user acknowledges that CediCash may need to process personal information for registration, campaign administration, verification, support, prize fulfillment, fraud prevention, and legal or regulatory obligations.
CediCash may send transactional and operational messages required to administer accounts, campaigns, draws, prize claims, policy updates, or support issues. Marketing communications will be managed in accordance with the platform's lawful-basis and consent framework.
The Privacy Policy will be read together with these Terms and any campaign-specific rules.
Governing law, changes, and contact details
These Terms and Conditions will be governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana unless a specific mandatory legal rule requires otherwise. CediCash will identify the forum, process, or escalation method it intends to use for complaints, disputes, and formal notices.
CediCash may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Material changes will be published clearly, and where appropriate, users will be notified before the revised terms take effect.
